Relational database-driven environment
EASy utilizes the highly flexible back-end database environment
for quick data assimilation and output. EASy provides ODBC connectivity
to relational databases and has “Database Wizard” for automating
the parsing of database fields into its own database. It also provides
advanced interfaces to multiple on-line data sources including DiGIR taxonomic
queries utilized by the Ocean Biogeographic Information System (OBIS),
NetCDF formats used by PMEL’s Live Active Server, and NVODS, handles
protocols recommended by the IOOS DMAC, and many more.
EASy can connect external databases whenever they will be - your local machines, or remote servers or databases in datacenters
